Mrs. Mahnaz Raoufi has recently published a book called “Baha’ism from inner perspective”. We asked her to answer to our questions concerning Baha’ism after two decades of her turning to Islam.

Q: Where is the origin of Baha’ism and how was this cult created?

A: As a matter of fact, Sheikism and Sufism are forrunners of Babism and Baha’ism cults. Two great Sheikh of Sufism and Sheikism called Sheik Ahmad Ehsaee and Kazem Rashti, his student, gathered people nearly two century and a half ago and gave good news about this issue that the emergence of the Excellency Hojjat (P.H.) is imminent. When Fath Ali Shah became aware of Sheik Ahmad’s fame, he wrote a letter to him to make Sheik dependent to his court. Sheik Ahmad wrote several letters to Fath Ali Shah too. His letter were full of blandishment and flattery. All these letters have been kept and available. All these documents and valid vouchers indicate that Sheik was flattering for Fath Ali Shah and Qajar princes. Such flatterer has trained several students such as Seyyed Kazem Rashti who became his successor after him. Sheik Ahmad Ehsaee was living in the court and had a luxurious life. After Ehsaee’s death, Rashti continued his way and gathered some people and announced: “Soon, the Excellency Hojjat (P.H.) will emerge.”

This good news caused several people to misuse this issue.

Seyyed Kazem Rashti’s activities and deeds indicate that he had been the Russia’s spy. He had been ordered to display him as the holy Imam’s ranks even higher than them. He thought what he has written has been nothing but revelation sent down from heaven. His writings indicate his political intentions and his nature as aliens’ stooge.

Babism and Baha’ism were established by these two people; that is, Sheik Ahmad Ehsaee and Seyyed KAzem Rasht. They announce on the pulpit the promised Hojjat will emerge soon.

Several people claimed for Mahdism. Seyyed Ali Muhammad Shirazi from Shiraz was of these people. He went to Ahvaz with his maternal uncle and was living there. He claimed Mahdism there and founded Babism cult.

He called himself “Bab” [the gate]. After announcing prophecy and divinity, some people turned to him. Bab called them “Horouf HAyy”. They were 18 people. One of them was Mulla Hussein Boshrouyehee who was called “Bab-al-Albab” by Bab. The other was a woman called “Zarrin Taj” entitled “Tahereh or Qorratul Ein” by Bab. Tahereh unveiled among a group of men. From that time on there isn’t any cover in Babism and Baha’ism. These 18 people made many people turn to Babism. Then, Bab invited many people to fight against Naseruddin Shah. Many people were killed in the war.

There are many documents indicating this issue that Babism and Baha’ism are stooges of the Colonialism such as confessions by Kiniyaz Dalgourki, the Russian ambassador who has been ordered to create a religious and political thought in Iran to disunite.

Consequently, we realized that Babism and Baha’ism are man-made political cults and Bab and Baha had been trained to execute and perform this plan.
