Shiekism believes Imam Ali (P.H.) is the creator of the earth and the heavens

Shiekism believes that the Excellency Ali (P.H.) is the creator of the earth and the heavens. It says Imam Ali himself wrote the following statement on the pulpit: “I am the creator of the earth and the heavens.[1]” the Shiite scholars believes this statements is totally false and forged. They have continually disagreed it and assumed as atheism and also exaggeration about the holy Imams (peace be upon them).

The following reasons reject Imam Ali (P.H.) as the creator presented by Shiite scholars:

1. This belief involves this issue that Imam Ali must have born before the world created. He must have created his father and mother and all people have lived before him. So, it involves this fact that all the prophets before him mustn’t have known their creator. It also necessitates this issue that the holy prophet (P.H.) had appointed his creator as his successor and guardian. All of these issues are against wisdom.

2. If Imam Ali were creator, the election of the holy prophet as the prophet and Imam Ali, the so-called creator as the guardian would be against wisdom, cos, the guardian had been preferred.

3. The Almighty God has stated in the holy Quran that:

وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

\"And if you asked them, \"Who created the heavens and earth?\" they would surely say, \"Allah.\" Say, \"[All] praise is [due] to Allah \"; but most of them do not know.\" [Loqman/25]

4. If the atheists are asked who had created the earth and the heavens, they will surely answers: Allah. There are other verses in the holy Quran stating the Almighty God is the creator.

5. This tradition is a mere atheism narrated by a Suffi person and the great Shiite scholars such as Koleyni and Majalesi haven’t narrated it.[2]

6. At that time when many people didn’t accept Imam Ali (P.H.) as the Caliph, how is it possible that Imam Ali (P.H.) claimed so. If Imam Ali (P.H.) claimed, the exterimists would kill him.[3]

The status of Imam Ali (P.H.) is so high and isn’t deniable; but assuming him as the creator as against the religion of Islam. The Household of the prophet themselves prevented us to exaggerate about them.[4]
