Redvan feast of Baha’is

After it was agreed for the Baha’is to be dropped out of Iraq to be sent to Istanbul, Hussein Ali Baha started claiming “he whom God will make manifest†in Najibieh garden in Baqdad city later on known as Redvan garden. Alaeddin Jourabchi writes in this regard: “… Bahaullah called himself the one whom God will make manifest and the promised one of all heavenly books when he was 46 in Najibeih garden out of Baqdad city. Consequently, the greatest feast of Baha’is is in spring 1386.â€[1]
As stated before, one of Hussein Ali Baha’s claims has been the claim of “he whom God will make manifestâ€. Now we investigate the story of origination. Ali Muhammad Shirazi the head of Babi movement which was forrunner of Baha’ism claimed for being the gate for Imam Zaman (P.H.) at the beginning of his deviation.[2] However, several years later, he claimed for being Imam Zaman (P.H.) himself and said: “I am the same Mahdi for whom you were waiting.[3]†then he claimed for prophethood[4] and next he claimed for divinity.[5]
Meantime, Ali Muhammad Shirazi decided to justify and interpret his previous writings and claims. Thus, he changed all of his previous claims into a comprehensive and vague word called “he whom God will make manifest.†The Baha’i leader, Hussein Ali Baha who was really acute and secret claimed as Ali Muhammad’s one.[6] He bused this title earlier in order not to justify later on. Here are some complications:
1) How did Hussein Ali Baha introduce himself as the successor of Ali Muhammad Bab and claim for he whom God will make introduced Sobhi Azal as his successor?[7]
2) Ali Muhammad Shirazi believes that the time for the emergence of he who God will make manifest is 662 years after writing the book “Bayanâ€[8] so even the leader of the deviant cult of Babism hasn’t confirmed the Baha’i leader’s claim.
3) After Ali Muhammad Shirazi’s death in 1850, several Babis, more than 25 people claimed for he who God will make manifest.[9]
Hussein Ali Baha who exiled to Aka in Palestine in 1285 A.H. claimed for being prophet and then divinity for 25 years.
