Q: Mention several Baha’s commandments and teachings?

A: Baha changed all the teachings and commandments issued by Bab after he had thrown most of Bab’s works in the sea. So, Bab’s law was abolished. However, Baha ordered his followers to pray like Bab. When he was asked he replied: “I have brought 19 units of prayers that enemies stole. These 9 units of prayers are adequate for Baha’is.”

Surely, it is incumbent for you to pray these nine units of prayers. This is an order from God (He meant he himself) because he is powerful.

- Regarding Kiblah: when you want to pray turn towards my holy position ( that is Akka located at Israel) where God has appointed it as the highest place for circumambulation for people of cities towards which you turn. Surely he is cherished and powerful.

- Everything has become certain according to his order when the commandment sun shines from the Bayan horizon. Lucky those who have good luck and become prosperous with first and last address. We have expounded prayer in another letter. Lucky a person who act what we say.

- Ayat prayer has been assumed and considered as a false one.

- Requiescat has been sent down having six glorifications (saying God id is great) and somethings like bone, hair and etc. don’t nullify the prayer.

- It is necessary for everybody who is 15 of age to pray and fast. He/she must be fast from dawn to dusk for 19 days before the new year.

- The group prayer has been considered as the false one.

- Regarding ablution and dipping: A person who doesn’t gain access to water can say “In the name of God the most immaculate). It has been ordered by the world master.

Regarding dipping Baha says: It is necessary for you to cut you nail each week and to dip your body into water completely because your bodies aren’t due to working.

Heritage commandments: If a person dies while he/she doesn’t have any offspring, his/her heritage was given to the universal house of justice. If he/she has offspring but doesn’t possess other heritage levels stated in the book, two third of his heritage will be given to his/her offspring and one third is given to the universal house of justice.

- Using gold and silver containers is impunible.

- Male and female adulterers should pay 9 methqal of gold to the universal house of justice as atonement. For the second time they must pay two times

- Listening to music is allowable and legitimate.

- A person who makes another person’s house fire intentionally must be made fire.

- A person who kills another person purposefully, he/she must be killed, too.

- Surely your father’s wife is illegitimate for you

- Drinking wine and questioning about Baha’s commandments are illegitimate.
