The unsuccessful attempt by Baha’is to be recognized formally in Egypt

Dr. Muhammad Seyyed Tantavi: the supreme Shiekh of Al-Azhar issued a statement mentioning that the Baha’ism cult is related to an heavenly religion. Most Egyptian people believe that Baha’ism is related to Baha’ism movement.

In April, 2006, the administrative court of Alexander in Egypt issued a verdict and obligated the Egyptian ministry of state to provide official ID cards mentioning Baha’ism as a religion for “Mas’am Ezzat Mahmoud” and his wife and two offspring. This verdict created an extensive jangle among the public religious and official assemblies in Egypt. The government, thus, announced: “On behalf of the government, a commission will ask for it to be reviewed in the administrative Supreme Court.”

Dr. Muhammad Seyyed Tantavi, the supreme Shiekh of Al-Azhar issued a statement mentioning that Baha’ism is related to no heavenly religion. Most Egyptian people believe that Baha’ism is related to Zionistic movement. From 80 years ago till now, Baha’is have tried to make their faith recognized officially in Egypt; but they haven’t been successful so far. Their last struggle ended in failure in 25^th of Azar, this year.

The administrative Supreme Court announced the followers of this cult as atheists and the vote of Alexander court as the false one.
