The Baha’i Manoto network insulted the covered Iranian women
Bahaismiran: The Baha’i Manoto network called the Muslim women as the ignorant ones being coincident with attack against cover in France.
These statements are being induced for the Iranian women community. A Manoto network guest claimed: “If a women decides to cover consciously not to be seen by the others, this person isn’t a wise one!!! This woman isn’t wise!!! This woman can’t have an active and influential role in the society!!â€
She added: “one or more cloth can’t keep a woman against calamity or violence.†It seems the guest’s accusation concerning the Muslim woman cannot have an influential role in the society is due to a false viewpoint. Those who are against the cover have always tried to attribute the ignorant and unjust currents and movements to the cover in order to criticize it easily. However, it is necessary to know the purpose of cover is to cover women out of having any relationship with strangers and to prevent them against flaunting in Islam not to make them hidden behind curtains or to keep them away from the society.
The superficial aspect of their debate is that: should a woman be covered or naked? Or should she be hidden in the house or be present in the society freely? Nevertheless, the debate isn’t concerned with their liberty; but the true question is: Should women be free to be used by men? Islam is against this issue not against their liberties and their positive and creative roles in the society.
However, an answer to the feminist woman who claims: “one meter or more cloth can’t prevent women against calamity or violence.†: “Although the researches reject the claim and prove that there is a direct relationship between the suitable cover of women and the security; for instance, women who cover themselves suitably will be secure more. However, we should pay attention to the issue that the reason for the Islamic cover isn’t the lack of security as she thinks and such reason hasn’t been mentioned for the cover in the Islamic sources.
Regarding the French government and Manoto network’s stands concerning cover it should be said that many human right foundations have opposed against the antidemocratic measure of the French government and have assumed it as the violation of the primary rights of each citizen. Some people believed that France isn’t “the nurse of democracy†anymore.
Additionally, the selection of cloth is of the most primary rights for each citizen. It can easily be seen that these networks which claim for democracy denigrate the cover. On the other side, these networks proselytize those who expose themselves quite naked in the society and assume this action as the logical one.
I wish the feminist guest of the Baha’i Manoto network had been as brave as Fernanda Lima, the Brazilian announcer of the world cup 2014 program who was attacked and criticized by the Iranian people due to her cloth and said: “Everyone is of the culture in which he/she lives. The agents of the Baha’i Manoto network and the guest are of the English culture. A culture which assumes nakedness a right for a woman.
