Professor Ehsan Yarshater (b. 3 April 1920 in Hamadan, Iran and died 1 September 2018 in California, USA ), the founder and editor-in-chief of the Encyclopedia Iranica, has passed away. Yarshater originally hailed from a Jewish Baha'i family, part of a group of Jewish converts from that city who during the late 19th century CE and early 20th became the biggest group of non-Muslim converts to the creed. As friends, acquaintances, colleagues, and peers pay homage to this man, there is a part of his biography that should be shared.

The basic problem of authority in the Baha’i Faith, with its false claim that those authorities are infallible, really becomes obvious when you consider the issue of the Guardianship, which Shoghi Effendi held from 1921 until his death in 1957. He was appointed to that position by his grandfather, Abdu’l-Baha.

I have provided verses from the Holy Quran and traditions which unequivocally state that Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) is the last and final of the God-sent Prophets and Messenger s. Moreover, it is established that Islam is the last divine religion and the Holy Quran the last Message from God for mankind.
Despite this explicit Quranic guidance, the Baha’is somehow tend to insist that Bahaullah is the continuation in the chain of Messengers (Manifestation in the words of the Baha’is). In order to address this Baha’i misconception, I thought it worthwhile to cite Bahaullah’s own words acknowledging that Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) is the last Prophet and Messenger.

The Baha'i Belief in Reincarnation

Written by

Even though Baha’is vehemently deny that they believe in reincarnation, there are explicit writings in the Baha’i corpus that show the contrary. In the current article we will mention three of Baha’u’llah’s Tablets where he expresses this meaning. Unfortunately, to date, none of these tablets have been officially translated by Baha’i authorities.

Baha'u'llah has enjoined upon his followers to bathe once a week:

Mazra’ih (Masra’ih) is the name of a mansion and surrounding land that Baha’u’llah had lived in for two years when he was ‘allegedly’ imprisoned in Palestine. According to an article in the Baha’i magazine, Baha’i News, this land belonged to the Muslims and could not be legally sold to the Baha’is:

In one of his letters on the occasion of the death of a number of Baha’is in Yazd and Isfahan, Abdu’l-Baha tries to blame the Scholars of Iran for their death and claims these deaths were the result of the Jealousy of Shia scholars due to the massive conversion of Persians to Baha’ism. This is what he states in a section of this letter that is part of the suppressed Baha’i texts that Baha’is simply refuse to translate to English:
